Magsar Vad 9 - Utsav of Shri Vitthalnathji (Shri Gusaiji)
A COUPLE OF NICE EPISODES

Love Prabhu without any selfish motive

Once upon a time, the royal executive Giriraj of surat requested the storekeeper or cashier to equip him with the benefit of 'Darshan of Rajbhog' earlier

as he was going to depart for surat earlier, and he showed the readiness to offer the gift of Rs. 10,000/-. But on the same day Shri Gusaiji delayed the

Rajbhog Darshan for some more time
, and opened the darshan only after the royal executive departed. This shows,
'You cannot purchase the Divine or

God by money.' This is the path of loving Prabhu without any selfish motive.

Prabhu likes to Enjoy the Best

Once two vaishnavs approached Shri Gusaiji. They wanted him to grant them the aagnya of Swaroop Seva. Shri Gusaiji asked them about their

orientation towards life. One replied that he was uninterested in this world and was more interested in leading a life like that of a bairaagi.

The other man replied that he liked to enjoy life to its fullest. He had many desires to possess things of his choice and he also went about acquiring

them.
Hearing to both of them Shri Gusaiji granted the aagnya of Swaroop Seva to the vaishnav who liked to enjoy life.

Vaishnavs present over there were taken aback at Shri Gusaijis decision. Shri Gusaiji explained that Shriji is
Uttam Vastu Ke Bhoktaa. Meaning, Shriji

likes to enjoy the best. Since the 1st vaishnav himself is dis-interested in acquiring things then he would also do the seva in the same manner i.e. with

dis-interest
. But the other vaishnav believed in enjoying the best things that life had to offer. So, naturally he would do so for Shriji also while

performing his seva.
Hence, on this basis Shri Gusaiji granted permission of Swaroop Seva to the other vaishnav.

Yehi Tehi, Tehi Yehi, Kachoo Na Sandeh

Once in Mathura some errant chowbeys who had heard that a new Gusai was residing amongst them and he was none other than Shri Krishna himself,

they became skeptical. They decided to test him. Of the five chowbeys one was very fearless and arrogant. His name was Cheetu. He procured a fake

coconut and a fake rupee coin
and with those decided to test Shri Gusaiji. All of them reached where Shri Gusaiji was staying. They went inside posing as

Bhakts and bowed before him. Shri Gusiji then spoke kindly inquiring, how they were, in particular to Cheetu by asking, 'How are you Cheetu?'

The other 4 chowbeys fled the scene fearing that this swamiji will use black magic on them. Only Cheetu stood still because before him was none other

than
Poorna Purushottam. He stood stupefied and in a stupor. Seeing this condition of his Shri Gusaiji asked Cheetu to gift the coconut and One rupee

coin. Gusaiji then called his bhandari and asked him to break the coconut. The bhandari then broke the coconut into two halves. Cheetu was astounded

to see that the fake coconut which he had bought to test Shri Gusaiji, turned into a real coconut. Gusaiji then turned to one of his sevaks and ordered

him to go to the market and buy certain things with the rupee coin that Cheetu had offered. After some time the sevak returned with the things that

Gusaiji had ordered.

Cheetswami was astounded to see the fake rupee turn into a real one. He now understood that only the lord himself was capable of making this miracle

happen.
He bowed before Shri Gusaiji and asked for his forgiveness and asked him to take him as his disciple. Shri Gusaiji agreed and then ordered him

to have darshan of Shriji. When Cheetswami went there he was amazed to see Shri Gusaiji in seva of the prabhu. He was surprised as he had just left him

in the Baithakji. He ran back to Shri Gusaiji's Baithakji
and to his surprise found Shri Gusaiji presiding over there. He could not believe his eyes. He then

again ran back to the temple and there he again found him in the seva of Shriji. That is when he deduced that both Shri Gusaiji and the Prabhu are one

and only one entity
, and hence composed the following kirtans :

Importance of Prabhu Leela Gungaan

Once Taansen (one of Akbar's Nav Ratna), requested Shri Gusaiji for an audience, as he wanted to sing in his presence to show off his vocal skills and it

being popular amongst people that Shri Gusaiji was a music enthusiast. Shri Gusaiji granted him audience and at the end of his singing honored Taansen

by giving him 500 rupees and also 5 Kodi (sea shells). Taansen was perplexed and asked Shri Gusaiji as to what those 5 sea shells signified.

To this Shri Gusaiji replied that even though Taansen's singing skills were uncomparable and hence rs. 500 as reward but since it was not in the seva of

Shriji nor did it describe the leelas of Shri Krishna, his singing skills were useless.
Hence, Shri Gusaiji valued it with sea shells (kodi).
