Shravan Sud 3 - Thakurani Treej
Shri Vallabh's arrives at Shrimad Gokul

During his first 'Prithvi Parikrama' in the samvat 1549 when Shri Vallabh was of a tender age of 14 he first set his holy feet at Shrimad Gokul. When he reached

Thakurani Ghat he had the Darshan of Shri Yamunaji. She was fully brimming and her gentle waves were singing the praise of Lord as they were flowing.

There was a unique halo to be seen in the gentle gushing waves of Shri Yamunaji, as though she was all set to entice the Lord with her unparallel beauty.

Shri Vallabh was just 14 when he went to Shrimad Gokul. Such a tender countenance he had that it was very difficult to tear away our gaze from him. Tender

feelings were etched on his face, his lotus shaped eyes full of Love for the Lord, high divine forehead beaming like a beacon amongst his curly hair, straight

nose and dimpled cheeks and soft lips, when such a tender swaroop of Shri Vallabh came to this place it was totally without any habitat. It was lonely. Apart

from the twittering of birds and the sound of gentle waves there was no other sound to be heard.
1. When you have the Darshan of Shri Yamunaji as the 'river Yamuna' or in the photograph (chitraji) or in the form of an idol,
then all this is her 'Aadhi Bhoutik Swaroop'.

2. Her capabilities or samarthya of keeping the Vraj Bhakts to obtain the Lord or negating the pain of death by drinking her holy water
'Na Jaatu Yam Yatna , Bhavati te Payah Panataha' all this is her 'Adhyatmik Swaroop'.

3. And the third swaroop is by being herself in the fourth Patrani(consort) of Shri Thakorji, Shri Maharaniji an eternal 16 year old beauty performing
the Nitya Leela in Golokdham and whom she wishes to disclose her swaroop then it is called her 'Aadhi Daivik Swaroop'.
Shri Vallabh then asked his sevak as to which could be Thakurani Ghat and which would be Govind Ghat.

At precisely that time a very unusual thing occurred.

Right then from gushing waves a sixteen year old girl appeared in front of Shri Vallabh,

she was dark hued but very beautiful and had a very bright halo around her.

She was wearing a suthan of yellow chundari, red and green chundari Kachni and a

patka of yellow chundari. She was also wearing a Mukut made of diamonds and emeralds,

a Makrakrut - Kundal, necklace of diamonds and emeralds.

She had a gentle smile on her face and a loving gaze.

All the sevaks who were with Shri Vallabh like Damodardasji etc. were staring stupefied. They couldn't make out who she was. With each step that she
took

towards them a lotus appeared and she appeared to be walking on them.

A wave of emotions rose in Shri Vallabh. As soon as she reached near Vallabh, Shri Vallabh cupped both the palms of his hand in a gesture of Namaskar,

bowed his head before her and sang her praise which flowed from his Shrimukh 'Namami Yamuna Maham------'

Shri Yamune Maharani

The name 'Yamuna' depicts three things. Her beauty, her nature and her Leela. The word Yamuna is made of two words - Yam + Una.

'Yam' means Yamdev and 'Una' means Nyun or small. In this way it means younger sister of Yamdev.

There is another meaning to Yamuna as well. In Sanskrit 'Yam' means to obtain or bring closer. Shri Yamunaji brings the Vraj Bhakts closer to Shriji. In other

words she helps the Vraj Bhakts to obtain the Lord.
When Shri Thakorji, in accordance to the wishes of Shri Radhaji, decided to appear in Vraj, ordered Shri Yamunaji to always be present in Vraj in the form of

water. So in accordance to the wishes of Shri Thakorji she still runs quietly at the foot hills of Shri Govardhan. Her parents are Shri Suryadev and Sangya devi.

Her elder brother Shri Yamdev and saakshat Poorna Purshottam her Swami/Lord.

According to Vraj Leela she happens to be the daughter of Bhanu Gop. She was born on Chaitra Sud Chatt (6) being a Thursday. To this date this day is

observed as 'Yamuna Chatt'. According to Vraj Leela she is the fourth Patrani(consort) of the Lord.
